Neil has spent over a decade in the industry in Europe, SE Asia, and Australia. Prior to Forecast, Neil worked at Goldman Sachs in Melbourne. Before entering the CFA program, Neil completed an M.A in Mathematics and Economics at the University of Edinburgh.
Neil specialises in financial services, private equity, and media, as well as the delivery of bespoke training classes on project finance, financial modelling and Excel. More recently, Neil has delivered data and analytics mandates using programming languages such as SQL and SAS.
Away from the office Neil hacks his way around golf courses, watches cricket and travels. If this can be combined with food and wine, then more to the good.
Greg is an experienced leader and the Director of Forecast Australia. He has an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management, a B.Com in Accounting and B.A in Economics from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand.
Greg spent 13 years with Orica in several roles throughout Australia, USA and Singapore including CFO Emerging Markets, Corporate Strategy and M&A Manager, Global Projects Analyst, and Australia Management Accountant. Greg also worked with KPMG, Fairfax Media and IncitecPivot.
When Greg isn’t working, you will find him barracking for the All Blacks or boating around Sydney’s harbour. Despite his name, Greg is a shocking golf player.
In the footsteps of her father, Venietta knew from an early age that she is passionate about business and marketing and was fortunate to start her career working with big brands after completing a marketing and advertising diploma.
Venietta has a diversified background in marketing, advertising, sales, media, PR, events and is also a qualified Mediator. Venietta spent 18 years working with Advertising agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi globally. Her claim to fame is branding the world HSBC through the airport aerobridges global campaign.
Outside of the office, she is passionate about a healthy lifestyle (with a balance of enjoying quality champagne and wine) and enjoys participating in and watching sports.
Malcolm has a B.Sc in Chemistry and Mathematics from St Andrews University and a Masters in Finance from Strathclyde Business School.
Malcolm joined Forecast with over five years’ experience in retail banking with a focus on financial modelling. Malcolm has extensive experience in developing budget and forecast models, specialised reporting tools and mixed technology solutions, often involving the integration of data with an Excel front end. Delivered Excel and financial modelling training courses in the UK, including RBS and Sainsbury’s, and corporate training programs in SE Asia.
Malcolm is a keen golfer, enjoys travelling and spending time with family.
Andy has a B.A (Hons) in Business Finance from Durham University, a LLM (Master of Laws) from the University of Leeds and is currently completing his CFA qualification.
Andy has over four years of international retail banking experience with a variety of proprietary financial tools and databases. Andy most recently worked with Sky Insight and Decision Science, with a particular focus on data analytics and integration with bespoke financial tools. Other recent clients have included Cheyne Capital Management, Kintyre Investments and, Amaranthine, an Edinburgh based start-up.
When not at work Andy loves to be outdoors and can be found running, hiking, biking or boarding.
Paul is a CFA charterholder, has an Msc in Applied Statistics from St Andrews University and a Phd in Financial Mathematics from Heriot-Watt University.
Paul has extensive experience in machine learning, predictive modelling and data strategy and was previously responsible for advancing the analytical capabilities at Colliers International. He has worked on stochastic credit modelling with Moody’s Analytics as a quantitative analyst and has advised banking and FMCG clients on optimal pricing strategies and marketing budget based on econometric analyses.
Outside of work, Paul enjoys a good game of tennis.
Matt is a Chartered Accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) and has a B.A (Hons) in Business with Economics from the University of Northumbria.
Matt has considerable experience building excel based Financial Models for clients in a variety of sectors including Financial Services, Media and Telecommunications, Healthcare, and Retail. Matt has also worked on high profile data analytics projects using programming languages such as SQL and DAX. Prior to working for Forecast, Matt spent four years with EY’s Corporate Restructuring team, working on a number of complex Insolvency engagements and high value Real-Estate transactions.
Outside of work, Matt likes to spend his free time on the cricket field and supporting Newcastle United.
Gustaaf holds Bachelor of Law and Political Science from Erasmus University and Leiden University, and Master of Business Law and European Affairs from Leiden University and the Paris Institute of Political Studies.
Gustaaf joined Forecast with extensive research on Intellectual Property Rights and gained professional experience in three top tier law firms. He has recently built customer segmentation tools in both Excel and Tableau for a FTSE 50 company. Gustaaf is a strong conceptual thinker and he has a keen eye to spot commercial potential and optimise user experience.
During the weekends Gustaaf loves to spend time on the water, making a trip on a sailing boat and or windsurfing.
Abdul has a Bachelor in Computer Science from VTU in India and an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh.
Prior to joining Forecast, Abdul’s academic work included machine learning and modelling, with a focus on text classification and sentiment analysis. He has worked on multiple clustering and predictive models as well as exploratory data analysis and representation. His most recent work for his master’s thesis included analysing twitter reactions of factions of the German public to anti-refugee violence. Abdul has recently developed several predictive models for a FTSE 50 Media Company across the breadth of their business, including churn prediction and the impact of their recently launched customer loyalty programme.
In his spare time, Abdul loves hiking, biking and going on road trips every chance he gets.
Robert holds a B.Fin and Bachelor of Laws from the ANU, a Master of Finance from University of Melbourne and is currently a CFA Level 1 Candidate.
Robert previously worked for Capgemini as an SAP Finance specialist and is an expert at working with data from SAP. Robert’s consulting projects involved multiple industries with an emphasis on insurance, government services, and utilities. He also has prior experience in online betting (Sportsbet) and investment banking (J.P. Morgan). His most recent clients have ranged from start-ups to multinational banking organisations.
When Robert is not working he dreams of better days for the Waratahs and the Wallabies, and enjoys travelling the globe.
Robert is a CFA® charter holder, holds a Graduate Certificate in Mathematics and Statistics from UTS, and a B.Com majoring in finance from Macquarie University.
Robert was previously at OFX (online currency trader) as a financial analyst. He provided decision support through statistical and financial analysis, developing financial models for strategy and budget forecasts, and designing management and board reporting. Robert most recently held a position as a financial analyst at RF Capital developing budget models and management reporting for a number of subsidiary businesses.
When Robert isn’t working, you’ll find him sailing on Sydney Harbour, camping, or working with computers at home.
Luke has a B.Com majoring in Finance from Bond University.
He previously worked as a management consultant with Accenture as an Energy Analyst. He was involved in production and commercial modelling within the energy and mining sector. Luke has developed models analysing the cost savings associated with outsourcing support functions. Previously Luke worked for industrial products supplier, River Sands as a business analyst.
Luke realised his dream of riding a fat bike around the world. Leisure includes surfing, mountain biking, and the gym, often thinking about the latest model. Formulas are food for the soul after all.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Petroleum Engineering and is currently undertaking a postgraduate Master of Commerce majoring in Finance at UNSW.
Previously Tom was a Senior Energy Market and Research Analyst at AME Group. Tom has a deep understanding of energy markets, natural resource and commodity dynamics with strengths in building models, macroeconomics, and data analytics. His role involved the development of techno-economic valuation models, extensive DCF analysis, financial analysis, forecasting, in-depth research studies and statistical analysis.
When Tom is not kicking modelling goals he is on the soccer pitch or carving up waves on his board.
George holds a Bachelor of Business and Commerce majoring in Economics and Finance from Western Sydney University.
Previously George was an economic consultant at SGS Economics and Planning, a leading planning and economics advisory firm. George undertook economic, financial and spatial analysis and modelling across transportation, retail trade and tourism. His main area of expertise was the undertaking of economic and financial appraisals for government funding of public infrastructure projects.
Away from work George likes to travel, attend music events and catching up with friends over a beer.
Benjamin holds a Master of Applied Finance (FINSIA) and a B.Bus from The University of Queensland.
Prior to joining Forecast Ben worked in commercial analytics in oil and gas exploration (Drillsearch Energy) and logistics (Queensland Rail). He holds operational experience in minerals and energy exploration (Boart Longyear) alongside experience in financial markets and equities trading (Bell Financial Group). His work experience covers the range of finance functions with emphasis on FP&A, commercial strategy and, project management.
